Instructions, before Departure At Go West we familiarize all our customers with the operation and use of a Recreational Vehicle, covering all aspects that are necessary for full enjoyment of the RV. If required we arrange a test drive. Please allow 60-90 minutes for instructions, paperwork and unpacking. Reservations To reserve a vehicle we require a $500 deposit. Final payment is due 30 days prior to date of pick up. Payments can be made in cash, bank draft, money order, Visa, MasterCard. At the time of rental any additional items, security deposit, taxes and insurance premiums must be paid. Every Renter must have a valid credit card to be able to rent from Go West. Our Staff is multilingual. Minimum Rental & Early Returns
No refunds for early returns Pick up and Return Rental pick-up is between 10am - 3pm. Rental return is between 8am - 10am. No pick-ups or returns after 3pm. Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary: Closed on Sundays and Statutory Holidays. Transfers
Availability In the unlikely event that the booked vehicle size is unavailable at time of departure, we reserve the right to substitute with a larger model. Any subsequent expense (gasoline, ferry costs, etc.) are the sole responsibility of the renter. Renter’s Responsibility The Renter is responsible for the vehicle and will be charged for any misuse or undue care, mechanical damage due to negligence in vehicle operation or failure to provide normal maintenance, including checking engine oil, fluids and coolant levels at each refueling, and reporting mechanical failures or accidents immediately. Repairs over $75 require prior authorization from Go West. Fuel Information Fuel costs are the Renter’s responsibility. No claim is made as to fuel consumption. Fuel is full before departure and must be returned full. Cleaning We are very proud of the condition we keep our vehicles in (all are non-smoking units). To avoid extra charges, please return vehicle clean inside and outside. $25 will be charged if holding tanks are not returned empty. A cleaning deposit of $150 ($250 for A-Class) is processed at time of rental and refunded upon return of clean unit. No Smoking nor Animals allowed in Vehicles Driver Requirements All drivers must be at minimum 21 years of age and maximum 75 years of age, and must have a valid driver’s licence. CDR insurance is mandatory for all drivers under 25 years of age. Travel Restrictions
Northern Rentals A surcharge of $200 applies to rentals traveling north of Fort St. John on the Alaska Hwy. Cassiar Hwy, into Yukon and Alaska. (Travel on the Dempster Hwy, into the NW Territories and Nunavut is not allowed) Northern use must be specified and be confirmed at time of reservation. We allow Northern Rentals with C22 and C25 Motorhomes. Insurance: CDR at $20 per day is available which will reduce the collision deductible; delays caused by mechanical breakdowns on Northern Rentals are not covered; repairs or damages resulting from travel in restricted areas without authorization are the Renter’s responsibility and insurance coverage is void. Storage Free storage of luggage, cars and/or airline tickets is available. All storage is at Renter’s risk. Modification and Cancellation Fees
Insurance Any accident, damage to vehicle, vandalism, fire or theft, must be reported to Go West! Collision and public liability insurance ($5 million) is provided free of charge with $4000 deductible per occurrence (column 1). The deductible may be reduced with the purchase of CDR at $20 per day (column 2). Radio, air conditioning, fridge, microwave and cruise control are not considered to be mechanical breakdowns. Go West is not responsible for hotel, rental car or any other incidental or consequential cost incurred by breakdowns and the resulting interruption of the rental. An Insurance deposit of $2,000 is processed or a signed credit card imprint if CDR is purchased. Deposits are refundable upon vehicle check-in when the RV is returned: on time, undamaged, clean, with all equipment complete, holding tanks empty and fuel tank full.
Damage to Vehicle - Customer’s Responsibility In the event of loss or damage to vehicle while on rental, whether or not due to the fault of the rental customer, the customer’s responsibility for direct and accidental loss or damage to the vehicle is limited to a maximum of $5000 per occurrence.
